I have very much enjoyed the
craft of
making bobbin lace since 1985. When I started, my teacher Margaret
Wise was herself an accomplished Bedfordshire lacemaker taught by Mrs V
Miller and Amy Dawson. My first lace was Bedfordshire and to this day
it has remained my favourite lace style. I have also tried and
hopefully succeeded in some of the other styles e.g. Honiton (which is one
of the finest), Buckinghamshire, Torchon and some of the foreign styles.
